The Neighbors

The picture above is a photo from my window. As you can see, we live next door to a swamp. We jokingly call it our waterfront property. But the great thing about living next to a swamp are the neighbors. As you can imagine the mosquitoes can be pretty brutal in the summer but we also have lots of other critters like beavers, turtles, frogs, fishers, ducks and herons. Dale Martin is a local wildlife photographer who has been taking photos of the herons as they get their nests ready for the season.
