Thanks everyone. This image is based on a story in Highlights magazine. I had my daughter cover up all the illo's with post-it's before I saw them, then I created my own illustrations. It was a great exercise. It was really fun to compare my work to the printed illustrations.
Wow, you've got a great style! Nuthatches always look they're wearing lil' grey and black tuxedos to me, and yet with all that flying around they're still clean and perfect. Love your 'speedy' hippo, and spring bear!
