Corel Painter Experiement #1

I'm starting to try out Corel Painter (finally!) This is my first attempt at using the oil brushes. So far I really like it, but it's going to take a while before I will be able to do anything deliberate and consistent with it.

I saw some daffodils at the grocery store yesterday it really made me feel like this guy (gal?). This is an older piece that I did for a promotional postcard last spring.

Just in case you were looking for something to distract you from work. Here's something to waste a few minutes of your day. Sketchcast records your pen strokes and saves them as a movie so you can create a drawing and then watch it draw itself over and over again.

This is an illo from a picture book that I recently illustrated entitled "On a Dark, Dark Night" by Jean Marie Cochran. I thought it was appropriate for this week's topic although the pooch is a little too chubby to leap. The book won't be available until later this year but I think I can give just this little peek.
