Illustration Friday - Forgotten

Okay this is a stretch, forgive me. But I have lots picture book ideas that I scribble in notebooks and then forget about them. Most probably should be forgotten but I've decided to go back through and start seeing some of the better ones to fruition. This is a spread that I just finished for one of my "forgotten" stories.

this is really nice Jen, before reading the comment, the image made me think the girls parents had "forgotten" to take her to dinner, at least that is what she thought, not really considering why the sitter was there.
Nice line quality.

you have created beautiful depth in this room and it makes you think of when people really dressed up every night and spent time together out on the town :) Very wonderful colours too!
Wonderful! I think it fits in a ton of ways... It is lovely the way it is colored! Great Job!

Wow, beautiful and rich colors! Just the few words on the page make me curious enough to read what else is going on in your story...why is that little girl there? Love this illustration! Don't worry about "stretching" it...I've seen lots of posts that were WAY more stretching than this! :)

What a great piece. Love the composition and line work. I thought the little girl was back to get something she'd forgotten. Great detail. I am curious...what medium did you use and how long did it take you from start to finish?

This is fantastic. I am able to appreciate the difficulty of something like this , the time it takes to complete and find the whole composition so awesome that I just want to come in and pick up a menu too!
