Style Experiment

I've been experimenting with a new softer style. While I really like the think dark outlines I usually do, I think they can be too harsh for some subjects like babies. I'm shooting for a cute watercolor sort of feel. This is a scanned pencil drawing colored in Photoshop. What do you think?

This is a little postcard that I put together for poster exhibit at the New England SCBWI conference. I think I may use it for my Photoshop techniques presentation also.

I like your softer style. I am a " black lines" girl, too! Sometimes a softer look is better. Really nice work!

I love your softer style! Very endearing, and it warmly draws me in.
Reminds me a bit of one of my favorite illustrators, Sally Hunter.

I'm a big fan of your bold line illustrations as well, but some stories do call for a softer look, and you've nailed that quality beautifully.
