Whale Watch

We went on a whale watch out of Gloucester Mass yesterday. I took lots of pictures, most of which look like logs floating in the water. But I thought I'd share these two. These are humpback whales. And one was kind enough to jump out of the water and say, "hi". You can see by the boat in the background just how big these guys are.

AMAZING... when I visited Alaska we saw whales like these but only from a distance. My photos were like teeny tiny logs. These shots are excellent. I am sure you are going to paint some of these creatures at some point! Wow!`
Wow! I took a whale watch out of Gloucester 2 years ago and it was by far the best one I've been on--whales everywhere! Your shot of one jumping out of the water is unbelievable--I can't believe you got to see that. AWESOME!

wow, those are great pics! You got a nice show :)

I went Whale Watching in Bar Harbor ME, we only saw Finback Whales and sadly I didn't stay well for the trip. But, seeing your pics almost make we want to try again.

Ive been whale watching there and its wonderful. I remember being so far out that I felt we were going to go forever. To see them up close like that is an amazing experience.
