Surprise Visitors

I was trying to get a bunch of drawings done for a work project this morning but when I looked out the window I discovered two white-tailed deer posing so nicely outside my window, I couldn't resist doing a few sketches. We humans thought this was a rotten winter with the ice storms and the below zero temperatures. But it simply amazes me how the deer and other animals are able to survive.

Thanks Alicia, we are pretty lucky to have so much wildlife in our backyard. Although I won't be saying that when those deer are munching on my garden in a couple of months :)

You captured them so beautifully and quickly. Our deer have been hanging out in the forest behind our home, and often come right up to our deck. They are really beautiful and BIG!

A small herd has arrived every winter now...and we finally realized we had to spray our huge Rododendrons (the deers favorite munchie) Usually they wander around at the edge of the yard, but sometimes, just as you noticed, they come a bit closer.

As for your garden... "if you plant it , they will come."
